Peanut and Pumpkin-Orangutan Twins Miami Attraction

Hi Everyone,

It's me again, Jungle Jim, and I wanted to talk about our beautiful twin orangutans -Peanut and Pumpkin. In case you don't know who they are, they're our fraternal twin female orangutans. This is something that is very rare both in the wild and in captivity. Although they are twins, they have very different personalities. Peanut is energetic and very outgoing, while Pumpkin is independent and quiet.

Lately, I've heard that these two girls are moving into a new home. I wanted to find out if this was true or not so I decided to ask Linda Jacobs, the twins' main care taker. Linda explained that since Peanut and Pumpkin are growing up, they need a bigger space to play in. She said, " They have started to outgrow the house they are living in now and need a bigger one." The big difference between their current home and their new one is space. With the new dome-shaped house, the girls will be able to swing around and have a bigger area to hang out in.

I remember when I grew out of my baby hammock and couldn't sleep in it anymore. I just needed something comfortable that fit me. So my mom, Jungle Jane, found me a bigger hammock that was made of palm tree leaves. She spent awhile putting it together, but it fit perfectly in the end. (Thanks Mom!) I'm sure Peanut and Pumpkin feel the same way. I think they will love their new home as much as I loved my bigger hammock.

It seems fitting that since these two will be turning six this December; they will have the opportunity to celebrate their birthday in their new home. All the Islanders are very excited about the twins' new home. Rumor is Peanut made a bet with Pumpkin that about 1,000 people will come to see their new home. The Adventures of Jungle Jim!

Summer has arrived and our new private beach, La Playa, is here to cool you off!

My name is Jungle Jim, and I want to tell you about La Playa here at Jungle Island. It has an amazing view of the bay and three steller inflated water slides.

I can tell you that everyone is bound to have a great time. Also on the beach is myself, Jungle Jim, and my best friend Jungle Kim.
We are Jungle Island's very own Jungle Adventures! Throughout the day we have super fun adventurers and fantastic activities for everyone who wants to participate, from a limbo competition to hula-hoop contests and much more. Each game is another adventure to embark on! So come on over to La Playa where you can sit by the beach and enjoy a piña colada, or run around and have great adventurers with myself and Jungle Kim.
