Jungle Island’s three entertaining shows feature some of the wildest animals from around the globe. From the world’s most lethal bird to some of the most amazing animals you will have to see to believe.

Winged Wonders

Times: Monday - Sunday 11am, 1:30pm & 4:30pm 
Location: Parrot Bowl

Presented in the Pepsi Parrot Bowl, Winged Wonders captivates audiences with some of the most beautiful, playful, and dangerous birds from all over the world. Enjoy some laughs from our feathered chatter boxes, catch the thrill of a huge vulture flying inches above your head, and be amazed as a six-foot tall Cassowary swallows an apple—whole. Before the show, be sure to lookout for Pinky, the iconic cockatoo who has been entertaining audiences for decades by riding his high-wire bicycle.

Wild Encounter 

Times: Monday - Friday 1pm & 3:30pm | Saturday & Sunday 1pm & 3:30pm & 5:30pm
Location: Jungle Theater

Wild Encounter is an upclose, uncaged, unbelievable interaction with the worlds rarest big cats & their human companions. This show features many rare and unique varieties of big cats, including four fantastic colors of tigers. Throughout the year, a rotating cast of big cats make appearances in the Jungle Theater from tigers to Black Panthers, Lynx to Spotted Leopards to Cougars. And of course, there is always an assortment of cuddly cubs who are sure to bring a smile to your face. Other animals join the cast of Tale of the Tiger including Orangutans, Chimpanzees, Binturongs, Gibbons, Capuchins, Lemurs and more!

This incredible presentation of big cats is produced by T.I.G.E.R.S., The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species, an international big cat conservation educational organization. After each show, guests can purchase special, upclose photographs with tiger cubs or primates. 

Wild Adventures of Dr. Wasabi

Times: Monday-Friday : 12pm & 2:30pm | Saturday & Sunday 12pm, 2:30pm & 5pm
Location: Serpentarium®

Dr. Wasabi’s Wild Adventures in the Serpentarium® takes an audience full of research assistants on a wild safari adventure through the animal kingdom. Guests will meet the wild wonders Dr. Wasabi has found from his world travels – from an African crested porcupine to an alligator snapping turtle; lemurs to African penguins.

Parrot Cove

Times: Closed. Reopens in 2015

At the farthest tip of Jungle Island resides Parrot Cove, a newly renovated beach and floating aqua park that provides guests with hours of relaxation and entertainment. Once a barren parcel of land, Jungle Island transformed Parrot Cove into a sophisticated tropical beach playground that is exclusive for guests of the popular South Florida attraction. 

Enjoy breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami from plush lounge chairs, oversized-umbrellas and luxe-cabanas. While reading a book or making castles in the sand, beach-goers can order from an extensive menu and have food and drinks conveniently delivered to their chairs. 
 
For water adventurers, Parrot Cove also boasts top-of-the-line Wibit equipment that floats on the bay. Make a splash on the massive Sports Park 60, which consists of balance beams, action tower, trampoline, bridge, cliff, high jump, catapult, slide and swing. 
 
Park admission into Jungle Island includes access to Parrot Cove. There is a nominal fee to use umbrellas, cabanas and the aqua park. For guests’ safety, Jungle Island limits the water park to 60 people per hour.  All activities take place under the watchful eye of certified lifeguards. Appropriate swimwear is required for aqua park and no denim shorts, hard materials (belt buckles, hard casts, jewelry, etc.).

Be sure to stop by Parrot Cove to stay cool and relaxed in between Jungle Island's fascinating animal shows. 

Manu Encounter

Times: Weekdays 11am-1pm and 3pm-4pm | Weekends 11am - 5pm
Location: Manu Encounter-Lower level

Fashioned after the clay cliffs in Manu, Peru. This is an interactive experience with Squirrel Monkeys, free-flying macaws and parrots as well as other exotic animals. A brief presentation on the habits and habitats of these animals will be given by one of our Animal Care Trainers who will remain present to answer questions relating to this exhibit. 

Orangutan School

Times: Daily 1:10pm
Location: Primadomes

Come experience the hilarious actions and reactions of Jake and Hanna, our amazing and smart orangutans. Saimang and gibbons swing into action. Upside down, right side up, left, right, top and bottom, they move with amazing agility and surprising speed. Their antics and tactics will delight and astound you. Enjoy a ten-minute presentation about our rambunctious and entertaining primates. A question-and-answer session by one of our Primate experts will follow.

Kangaroo Konnection

Times: Daily 11:30am - 4pm
Location: Kangaroo Paddock (Fee: $5 per person)

Come meet and interact with our cuddly Kangaroos!

Petting Barn

Times: Weekdays 11am - 4pm | Weekends: 11am to 5pm
Location: Petting Barn by Children's Playground

Come pet and feed our petting barn animals. Makes for a wonderful memory and some wonderful pictures! 

Everglades Habitat & Walk

Make your way across a true replica of the Florida Everglades, complete with beautiful flora and fauna from the region. 

Feed our birds around the park

Many of our magnificent birds enjoy being fed by you, our guests. You’ll find them along our jungle paths with food dispensers at each location.

Interact with Trainers and Animals

As you wonder through the park, you’ll encounter our trainers who host an assortment of animals. Touch, ask questions, and make friends.

Penguin Exhibit

Times: See penguins after each Dr. Wasabi Wild Adventure Show
Location: Serpentarium

Our South African penguins are so adorable. Come see our fluffy little friends swim and waddle around their penguin pool.

Playground

It’s your time to monkey around. Frolic on slides and crawl tubes.

Tortoise Exhibit

You’ll be astonished at the size of these giant tortoises. Some males grow to 500 pounds and can live for 150 years.

Jungle Island is open 365 days a year. Special shows and events at this popular Miami attraction may extend Jungle Island’s hours. Upon arrival, ask the Ticket Booth or Guest Relations for any special event or show information. Jungle Island hours are subject to change without notice. Severe inclement weather may affect Jungle Island’s hours.
