Kids Research Environment & Wildlife

A free community meet up that allows kids to learn while doing!

K.R.E.W. meets once a month to work on projects surrounding topics of environment and wildlife. Jungle Island’s educators will guide the K.R.E.W members through a project that teaches kids lessons they will remember for life. Our one hour program is intended for elementary school children and their parents, at no cost. Simply show up once a month at 10:00 AM and you can call yourself an official Jungle Island K.R.E.W. member!

Goya Foods’ Fun and Fit as a Family

Join your favorite chefs and culinary personalities for two fun-filled days of food, fitness and learning at Goya Foods’ Fun and Fit as a Family featuring Kidz Kitchen at Jungle Island. This family-friendly event at the Festival allows parents and kids to learn the basics of a healthy lifestyle with Food Network and Cooking Channel personalities and beloved South Florida chefs.

My Mini & Me in the Jungle

February 25th | 11:00AM - 11:45AM

Jungle Island’s Mini and Me program meets once a month for a 45-minute session followed by free exploration of the park. Programming is designed for young adventurers ages 3-4, however all are welcome. Each month we will learn through creative hands on lessons. Past themes have included building animal habitats and yummy layers of the jungle! For specific questions, reach out to the Education department at education@jungleisland.com

This month's theme: Fungus is among us! When you think mushrooms you might think dark, wet and gross! But we are here to show you all of the cool things mushrooms can do. After we learn about mushrooms we will make some of our own.

Location: Jungle Island's Education Center
Cost: $20 for Mini (three-four year old) & Adult. Includes complimentary park admission.
